Crop Protection
Applying "the right stuff at the right time and in the right place" continues to be a challenge when it comes to effectively protecting your crop against weeds, insects and disease.
Your ability to rise to this challenge has much to do with the knowledge of your crop protection consultant, the experience and training of your applicator and the quality of the equipment used. It also has to do with the caliber of the company providing you with this personnel and equipment.
Size has Its Advantages--The number
of herbicide choices has increased dramatically in recent years.
Yet, this is not a one-size-fits-all market. The capacity of Landmark
Agronomy gives us the ability to work with all manufacturers, rather
than aligning with just one or two, so we can craft the best solution
for your crop protection needs. We leverage our considerable purchasing
power to your advantage. You can order almost any crop protection
product in bulk from Landmark Agronomy and it will be delivered to
you from one of our six bulk locations.
Landmark Agronomy employs a central coordinator
for crop protection products and programs. This coordinator oversees
the purchase and distribution of products to Landmark Agronomy facilities
and keeps our staff of Agronomy Territory Account Managers (ATAMs) informed
of manufacturer/grower programs that would benefit you.
Our People make the Difference--Our ATAMs help growers decide which crop protection products to use, as well as where and when to use them. The ATAM assigned to work with you understands how to diversify your program to avoid pest resistance to these products. Your ATAM also knows when to recommend a seed trait that will allow a specific herbicide to be used to address your toughest weed problems, but also appreciates the value of conventional seed and herbicide programs in the right situations.
Landmark Agronomy's Certified Custom Applicators work hard to achieve excellence. They work together with you and your ATAM to achieve a common goal--the reduction or elimination of yield-robbing pests. Our applicators understand the environmental implications of their work. These highly trained professionals know when and where to use adjuvants, such as surfactants and drift retardants, to put more product on your crop and keep it away from environmentally sensitive areas.
Built for Speed and Efficiency--Most Landmark Agronomy facilities now feature direct-injected chemicals and dispatch pre-mixed loads to the field, which speeds up application by our large, well-maintained fleet of applicators and tenders. This fast, efficient system allows us to service more growers in a shorter period of time and meets the demands of an increasingly smaller planting window.
