Precision Ag
Precision Agriculture (Precision Ag) is our focus at Landmark Agronomy. Precision Ag services merge innovative technologies with creative thinking to increase yields and grower profitability.
Precision Ag helps correct things we can control,
such as low fertility or seed selection and optimize yield potential
through variable rate nutrient application and seeding of various
soils within a field.
Landmark Agronomy pioneered Precision Ag in Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois and we've continued to use it over the last decade to improve the productivity of our customers' land and to solve specific problems.
Our array of new wave Precision Ag tools include
field mapping, grid soil sampling, electrical conductivity, variable
rate fertilizer and ag lime recommendations and application, yield
data processing, data layers, geographical information system database,
geospatial imaging, farm technology solutions and assistance, information
lab, HighQ and GIS specialty projects.
InSite VRN, Landmarks’ variable rate application
program, utilizes remote sensed multi-spectral crop density satellite
imagery; creates crop index, spatial yield potential, and spatial
organic matter maps; and develops management zones — all to improve
efficiency and profitability.
We Do It All--Landmark Agronomy's Precision Ag program is fully integrated--from doing our own soil testing to providing you with map-based information and applying multiple products simultaneously at variable rates on the basis of that information. We do not outsource our sampling and mapping. Personal involvement throughout the process gives us the ability and insight to tailor our recommendations based on the specific needs of each and every acre of your farm.
Investment vs. Input--Precision Ag should be viewed as a long-term investment that will protect yields three, five and 10 years from now. Precision Ag keeps maximum yield potential available, year in and year out.
