Unanimous Votes from CPI and Landmark Boards Brings Merger to Next Stage

During a special joint meeting of the respective Boards of Cooperative Plus and Landmark Services Cooperative held at the Janesville Convention Center in Janesville, Wisconsin on June 9, a presentation detailing the Plan of Merger for the two entities was reviewed.  After careful consideration and much open discussion by both Boards, a roll call vote to approve the Plan of Merger was put forth and was approved unanimously by the leadership of both cooperatives.

The next stage of the merger process between Cooperative Plus and Landmark will be a balloted vote and special meeting on the Plan of Merger by the Cooperative Plus membership.  Informational meetings for Cooperative Plus members will be held on June 30 in Union Grove and July 6 in Burlington and Elkhorn.  The final vote and special meeting will be held on July 18.  Upon a majority vote by the Cooperative Plus membership, the merger would become final the end of each cooperative’s fiscal year, which is September 30, 2011.
