Grain Exchange – 12/31/2020
On the final days of 2020, we are still seeing surprising movement in the market. Although today is so far steady the last few days we are seeing highs we haven’t seen yet. As of yesterday, the corn markets as 12 straight trading periods of being up!
Beans are up slightly again today trading over $13 (CBOT March 21). South America is still concerned about moisture but sounds like the strike is subsiding in Argentina. There were several thoughts that once the strike was over that the bean market would turn bearish but that has proven wrong.
Corn is up 2-5 cents today, also holding strong the moisture talk in South America. There is still some promise of China needing more corn as well but there has been not physical support.
Wheat is still holding pretty strong with a few sales and discussion about higher demand if there is another shut down again.
Have a Happy New Year!
