The Drive to Feed Kids Initiative
As an agricultural cooperative, finding a way to help children in our local communities combat hunger is a natural fit. Landmark Services Cooperative is proud to partner with The Drive to Feed Kids initiative to help feed hungry kids in our service territory as part of our Landmark Gives Back program.
The Drive to Feed Kids is a collaboration between Nutra Blend and their partners in the feed industry to increase awareness about child hunger and raise money to feed children in the U.S. As part of our commitment to be engaged in the communities where we live and work, Landmark is working with area backpack programs and summer lunch programs to help feed kids.
Diamond Sponsor of Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin
Landmark was inspired to work with Second Harvest Foodbank through “The Drive to Feed Kids” program created by feed ingredient supplier Nutra Blend. Drive to Feed Kids is a national organization dedicated to educating consumers about agriculture’s role in feeding the world.
In 2013, Landmark Services Cooperative began their relationship with Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin. Their mission is to end hunger in southwestern Wisconsin through community partnerships. Landmark is proud to be a diamond sponsor and partner with this organization. Since 2013, Landmark members have helped provide 322,141 meals to southern Wisconsin families.
In addition, a capital investment for a new freezer and cooler space has greatly increased the donations that the food bank is able to accept. Learn more in this video.
Second Harvest Foodbank of southern Wisconsin serves 16 counties in southwestern Wisconsin. To learn more or to support Second Harvest’s mission, visit secondharvestmadison.org .
