Diamond Sponsor of Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin
Landmark was inspired to work with Second Harvest Foodbank through “The Drive to Feed Kids” program created by Nutra Blend. Drive to Feed Kids is a national organization dedicated to educating consumers about agriculture’s role in feeding the world.
In 2013, we began our relationship with Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin. Their mission is to end hunger in Southwest Wisconsin through community partnerships. Landmark is proud to be a diamond sponsor. Our members have helped provide over 322,000 meals to Southern Wisconsin families.
Every fall we participate in the Share Your Holidays campaign with various fundraising efforts (online auction, mystery envelopes, potlucks, raffles, etc.) to help end hunger in the communities we serve. This year our goal is to raise $30,000 or 90,000 meals.
In addition, a capital investment for a new freezer and cooler space has greatly increased the donations that the food bank is able to accept. Learn more in this video.
Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin serves 16 counties in Southwest Wisconsin. To learn more or to support Second Harvest’s mission, visit secondharvestmadison.org.
The Drive to Feed Kids Initiative
As an agricultural cooperative, finding a way to feed children in our local communities is a natural fit.
We’re proud to partner with The Drive to Feed Kids initiative to help feed hungry kids in our service territory as part of our Landmark Gives Back program.
The Drive to Feed Kids is a collaboration between Nutra Blend and their partners in the feed industry to increase awareness about child hunger and raise money to feed children in the US.
As part of our commitment to be engaged in the communities where we live and work, we’re working with area backpack programs and summer lunch programs to help feed kids.
